fans and bands at a gig can be comedy gold

one time i was at the windmill at one of their all-dayers. this band came on (can't remember their name) and played sort of hardcore/mathrock something? anyway the drummer was topless and really into it. their final song ended in a frenzy and the drummer was drumming like his life depended on it. after drumming so hard his face turned bright red he stood up, looked almost lost and desperate, jumped over his drum kit, ran through the crowd, out of the fire exit, and could then be seen running full pelt down the road.

he then had a cigarette leaning against the wall. the band is still playing, having a good old freak out, then a couple of minutes later he comes running back into the pub, jumps over his drumkit and gets back into position just in time to finish the rest of the song

i suppose that's more FUCKING AWESOME than funny but i do got funny stories too, maybe
