How did Pitchfork become the modern day Rolling Stone magazine?
Obviously there wasn't internet when Rolling Stone reigned music criticism, so there wasn't as much pseudo-hate or ignorance towards it as well.
But anyways, how did Pitchfork get to become so influential or atleast well known and popular? What reviews led up to it, beginning in the early last decade?
It was obviously pre- Arcade Fire and Interpol that they became the Pitchfork we know today, so..
