Think about the relationships you have with certain bands and how they have evolved over time. I'll give you an example:

From the age of about 12 I was obsessed with Nirvana. Then around about my uni attending age of my early twenties, I found that I had grown tired of Kurt and co. Maybe it was the fact they were on the Jukebox far too much, maybe it was because everyone seemed to love them, maybe it was meeting people who seriously considered them the BEST BAND EVER, or maybe it was seeing 12-14 year olds with Nirvana T-shirts everywhere (god what a hypocrit - never mind an old fart).

Nowadays whenever a Nirvana track comes on the radio I am reminded all over again what made me love them in the first place. Or sometimes my iPod will randomnly select a hidden gem from that box-set that came out a few years back and I'll recognise that there truly was a lot of talent in that band.

I can think of many other examples - my relationship with the Pixies is very complicated. Any weird relationship cycles, arguments and so on you've had in your relationship with a particular band and their music?
