Anyone a fan of Destroyer, aka Dan Bejar, also of the New Pornographers? He's one of my favorite songwriters like, ever. Last year he released this fantastic fourteen minute cut, Bay Of Pigs that's just chock full of amazing imagery, you can just close your eyes and perfectly invision what he's saying, and the pacing of the track is stunning, probably one of the best things he's ever done. Also, his masterpiece, Streethawk: A Seduction was recently reissued, it's quite minimal and may sound a bit unimpressive on first listen but Bejar's songs will infiltrate your brain sooner or later. His melodies and chord changes are very weird and unpredictable and they take getting used to, and as a result, every time listening to a Destroyer song seems like the first time. I'm hardly an expert on his music, I've only got Destroyer's Rubies, Streethawk and the Bay Of Pigs EP, so if you've got sick deep cuts I need to be listening to, post them for chrissake!!!
