I'll put it out there that they are surely one of the most incredibley jaw dropping bands in years. I've been a fan for the past couple of years but recently, its dawned on me that they could go the distance as being one of the country's best bands, possibly ever.

Not in recent memory have a band come along and pretty much desimated pretty much any other band's output or live show quite so effortlessly as The Twilight Sad seem to have done/are doing.

I mean, Fourteen Autumns... was such a gorgeous mix of the rustic, wintery vocals and homely sounding pianos and accordians married with those guitars which added whole new plains of heavy to the mix.
and then (in my humble opinion) Forget The Night Ahead came and knocked that one right out of the park by upping the production (seriously, there are time on that album where the noise is terrifying) and tightening some of the screws.
and live, i'd pitch them against pretty much any other band at their level and pretty much guarantee that they'd drown them out with more volume and class than any other would be able to muster.

is anyone as enammered as me or have i just wasted five minutes trying to prove a point that many already realise?
