Once you’ve been part of a boyband,
it’s kind of difficult to be taken seriously
after that - particularly artistically. Lee Ryan
from Blue hasn't let such stigma keep him
down though. He's written a ten minute
song about the life of Jesus and has spent
£26,000 of his own money assembling a
20-piece orchestra to get it sounding just right.

Early feedback from Patti LaBelle and Angie
Stone has been encouraging and Lee is
apparently sounding "rather good on it too -
hitting some really high notes".

We haven't managed to get hold of the song
yet, but here's Lee doing an acoustic
version of his rather pretty and summery new
