Dudes. So.

I saw jj two nights ago, opening for The XX. Being that it's been a few years since I was this obsessed with a band, I was rightfully excited. However, things may have gone slightly next-level when I actually met the band, and the following things occurred:

1) After talking to Elin before the show and having her sign my records, she asks to get a photo of us, and then has their roadie take a picture of the four of us (my wife and Joakim, the other half of the band, included).
2) During "Into The Light," Joakim walks across the stage, kneels in front of me, and LUNGES around my neck in the biggest hug I've gotten since '98, saying, "I love you, I love you," over and over. WICKED AWESOME.
3) He then returns five minutes later, gives me HIS SUNGLASSES, air guitars the intro of "Let Go" and KISSES ME.
4) Shortly thereafter, the band finishes playing, and Elin walks directly over to me to give me another hug and thanks me, before giving everyone in the front row high fives.

"How do you know them?!" a girl who looks like Ben Gibbard asks me. "I don't, I'm just a really, really big fan!" I reply happily.

Seriously, this is the coolest thing that has EVER, EVER happened to me. And for everyone who might have heard that they put on a shitty show... by all means, they do not.
