The Painter's Radio Show tonight with special guest, Heavenly Social DJ Mark Boyd
THE PAINTER'S RADIO SHOW
"Interesting stuff you might not have heard before"
every Thursday 8pm-10pm on XstreamEast.co.uk
On The Painter's Radio Show tonight we'll have new stuff from WinterHours, Yakuza and The Black Heart Generators, plus The Auteurs, Frank Turner, Fugazi and much more besides. We'll also be joined in the studio by special guest, Heavenly Social DJ Mark Boyd.
A leading light on Belfast’s radio scene in the 1990’s, Mark launched pirate station Move 105FM in the early 90’s before moving on to the then-nascent CityBeat, which is now listened to by 25% of the population of Belfast. Mark is currently the resident Friday night funk, soul and hip-hop DJ at London’s hugely influential Heavenly Social club, famous for launching the The Chemical Brothers’ career and with it, the entire ‘Big Beat’ scene. Expect a cavalcade of the bizarre, the obscure and the downright awesome.
