INSPEKTOR HOARSE! - Oxford's DIY Metal/Rock etc Community

Having struggled as part of a dilligent metal/hardcore 2-piece amongst a plethora of disco-beat dance rock oxford-esque dross for the best part of a year, I have decided to establish this group as a hub of all things metal in Oxford.

Do you find it difficult to sneak onto bills in Oxford and the surrounding area? Is it a struggle to find like-minded promoters who are willing to dedicate the time and effort needed push what is (in Oxford anyway) a niche scene?

This group has intentions that will hopefully address these issues. The aims of the group are:

1/ To meet likeminded people who either play in or are associated with metal/hardcore/punk/hard rock/grind/thrash/doom/e.t.c bands in and around Oxford

2/ To establish a DIY ethos in which bands help other bands out. This includes attending each others gigs. offering struggling bands support slots whenever possible, and also putting on and promoting our own nights in order to create our own thriving scene in this often-too-quiet city

3/ To drink lots of beer and to have a good time in a friendly environment!
