Some really beautiful, melancholy music like The Road soundtrack and I suppose GYBE, - but that doesn't make me feel like I'm listening to anything 'soaring' or 'post-rock' (especially soaring post-rock)?

I don't know how many pages I'd have to drudge to find that music recommendations thread, sorry if I've just missed it.
