How come all the dubstep talked about on this board is never the dubstep you hear out / at parties?

I heard apparently there's a split starting between 'traditionalists' of it who claim this new hijacked student style should be called 'brostep'.

People like Jakwob, Skream and Nero etc. If someone asked me to name a dubstep artist I'd say them. But on here everyone seems to talk about Burial all the time, who I've never ever heard played out.

Someone with better knowledge on it tell me what the story is.
