Obviously I was well aware of who Chuck Ragan was before this week, and i'd heard some of his solo stuff but after seeing his set supporting Frank Turner on Monday I just had to buy Gold Country.

It's wonderful, if you're into punk/folk/roots/americana/country it's something you really should listen to.

If I suspect that if you heard this before listening to Hot Water Music you'd never even begin to guess at what his band sounds like and that this is where he belongs he sounds so perfect for the part.
