I must confess to being immediately turned off by this band - after a few listens to some tracks, I dismissed them as either (a) too close to lad rock, (b) watered down shoegaze or (c) both.

However before Christmas, while suffering one of those periods where your fed up of the bands that you had previously been listening to repeatedly, and awaiting the next inspiration, I tried out a few songs again and got drawn in quite quickly.

It's really quite a good album isn't it? It's got a lot about it which is really worthy of recognition.
