I'm starting a blog that will feature a downloadable playlist with tracks from various artists. One of the artists has asked me to send a 'letter of intent' to her record label to get them to release the track.

What the hell is a letter of intent? Any help appreciated, I don't want to go back to her and ask her what she means.
