Well, I think they are.

I own 7 White Stripes records and all 3 Kills LPs and I honestly don't think I'd choose to listen to any of the White Stripes ones over a Kills record. White has written some amazing songs but no one record of theirs barring possibly 'De Stijl' flows that well for me.

I know The Kills get dismissed as try-hard scenesters who merely ape past acts, but I don't buy that at all. They were fusing rock and danceable fun long before Franz had made it popular and I honestly think 'No wow' and 'Midnight Boom' are both insanely catchy, inventive and taut albums.

Anyone else a fan? The band comparison isn't really that important to be honest, it was more a sensationalist way of luring you in here...
