Anyone else excited for this? I've been a fan for a few years now and i think these guys are fairly underappreciated, especially for their talent in live performance. They have the most incredible sense of each others musical space and can weave in and out of improvisation phenomenally well. Just when it seems like the whole piece is going to fall into chaos they'll snap straight back out into a killer beat / bass line / sax part. Aside from that, Seb Rochford is the most amazing drummer i've ever witnessed live, and Pete Wareham can get sounds from his sax i'd never imagined possible.
The new album has been recorded more organically, with all the musicians playing in a room at once, and what i've heard really manages to capture the feel of the band's live performances.
