Plenty of albums are labelled 'masterpieces' by the music press and people generally, that it's hard to see how matserpieces aren't just thrown out four or five times a year.

So (in your opinion, of course) how would you distinguish between a really great album and a masterpiece or are they basically the same thing?

Interested to read what my learned peers have to say on this thorny issue. :O)
