Guys, I'm in a music rut and I need some suggestions. With all the new music I've been listening to recently, I just feel like I'm hearing the same thing I've heard before, and nothing is igniting any passion in me. Thought you lot would be the right people to ask for some suggestions...

My favourite things to listen to recently have included (but aren't limited to) stuff like the new Yeasayer album, Passion Pit, School Of Seven Bells, High Places, The XX, Memory Tapes... And have always loved artists such as SFA, Flaming Lips (apart from the dubious 'Embryonic'), Of Montreal, The Eels, MIA, and Animal Collective. I'm pretty much ruining every album I like (esp. Yeasayer) by having listened to them far too much in the absence of anything new to pique my interest. This has been going on for some time now.

Any suggestions of stuff with qualities similar to any of the aforementioned bands would be a plus but, in particular, I'm really wanting beautiful, major key, laid back but still really emotionally motivational and euphoric, soft lush vocals stuff that's still got a bit of an edge. If it gets epic and soaring, all the better. String sections, beepy or soft sounding synths, beautiful clear voices, multi-layered harmonies, and ambling beats/trippy, Gold Panda esque beats/heartbeats are all very very welcome. Distorted guitars and crashing drum kits, on the other hand, are really turning me off.

If anyone can suggest anything that will fit the bill or, indeed, blow my mind, I will be extremely grateful. Please feel free to go nuts and suggest anything you love that you think I'll love. This is a dire situation and my searches for something to make me feel happy have been utterly fruitless and very frustrating so far. HELP! Thanks.
