I have finally decided that I need to get it together and get in to these bands. As a huge Boris fan it's absurd I have no Melvins at all, and Low and Yo La Tengo are two bands I've seen and heard snatches of and loved it but with all three their discographies are kind of scattered and by now quite big. With that and the variable quality that inevitably comes with any band that's kind of experimental, where would you start?
One annoying caveat is that I'm not really big on downloading, as sad as it is I still like the first listen of an album to be in full, on a stereo, like it's 1997 or something. So a good couple of primer albums would be triffic, if you would be so kind...
