FAO: string players in London: want to play with Bleeding Heart Narrative for a one-off London Word Festival event?
Info from main man, Oli:
I'm currently writing a new score for an event at this year's London Word Festival to be performed on March 18th. You can find the full details here - http://www.londonwordfestival.com/?p=1262 - but basically its a specially commissioned poetry piece by Chris McCabe which will have musical and visual elements woven in. I'm writing the music for it and I need as many string players as I can get to perform the piece at Jamboree in Limehouse on 18/3. So if you or anybody else you know is a violin/viola/cello/double bass player and fancies getting involved then please get in touch through myspace or email bleedingheartnarrative at googlemail dot com
You'd need to commit to practices during the daytime of Saturday 6th March and Saturday 13th March as well as at least one likely run through with the full performer line-up at Jamboree (date to be confirmed). No money involved but it should be a really good event - Iain Sinclair's introducing it and everything!
Get in touch if this sounds like something you want to be involved in and I'll send you over some demos/rough parts of how its sounding so far...
Please forward this group on!
Cheers,
Oli
