When I saw Dig! for the first time it struck me that the little known Dandy Warhols were rather popular in Europe. Who'dda thunk it? Then there's Jeff Buckley. No one's heard of Jeff Buckley here in the states, but apparently he had quite a following in Europe, too. Lots of little acts here and in the UK are apparently big stars in Japan. And though I can't think of any off the top of my head, I'm sure there are some Brit bands largely ignored at home and popular here in the states or elsewhere. So, really, that's why I'm starting this thread. So you guys can name 'em.
