To celebrate the return of Pavement, I'm putting on a tribute show at The Windmill in Brixton on Saturday May 10th called "Pavement Ist Rad!" where I get a few awesome bands together to do a split set between their own songs and the songs of alt-rock legends Pavement. I have done a few similar shows in the past, including this one : www.myspace.com/ourbandcouldbbqyourlife which was an absolute blast!

Just wondering if anyone could recommend bands, ideally from around London, but from anywhere in the UK that would be good at a thing like this, and would be able and willing to play a 150ish capacity venue, and for a decent but not huge door split?

Already confirmed are Birmingham's Ace Bushy Striptease, Cardiff's The Muscle Club, and Brixton's Eelectricity and Lust (which obviously is a Pavement reference!) My band 4 or 5 Magicians will play too provided I can find some people to join the band (we are looking for a new guitarist and drummer - contact me if you know anyone that might want to join!).

If you are in a band yourself, feel free to offer your services for the night, but please don't be offended if I decline - there's a million bands I could get to play this, and also (for those who might know me personally) I'm trying to avoid repetition of previous lineups at such shows - just after some recommendations of new bands I don't know here really.
