Franz are a good band with a bunch of very good tunes, but is there another song that better encapsulates that wave of post-punk brittle-funk homagists that emerged a few years back? That intro, the slow down, the riff, the walking bassline, the seedy lyrics and crooning delivery, the slightly odd song structure.

And to think, out of nowhere, it got to no. 3 in the charts, in a time when that just didn't happen for indie music.
