A sort of related music thread.

I'm contemplating getting some kind of snazzy app-able phone, especially with the lure of upgrading to spotify premium for on-the-move listening, and last.fm keeping a note of everything I listen to.

I don't use itunes, and I'm a bit resentful that I'd have to use it if I wanted the iphone. Any downsides to switching to itunes (other than all my listening rankings being reset to zero)? or what other cool/better alternatives are there? and any other cool music-related apps available?
