Is it time for a critical reappraisal?

It’s the acceptable face of metal, without all that gloomy devils and murder guff. Just killer riffs and solos and big groupshout choruses and songs about fucking teenage girls. Obviously all the ballads should be completely disavowed but the rockers are pretty good.
