I was trying to think of my favorite song of the decade...
...and in between all the songs I love like "All My Friends", "Nude", "Ms. Jackson", and a load of others, I realized how many songs may not be as good of songs, but I'll listen to just as much as time goes on. Why? They're infectious as hell. It's the reason why you can still see me rolling down the street, windows down, blasting "Lollipop" a year too late (though that song does kick some ass) or why it may be from their worst album, but that opening guitar riff from "Perfect Situation" by Weezer is still one of my favorite musical moments. It's remembering what it was like the first time I saw the video for "First Date" by Blink-182, when the girl gets a baseball bat stuck in her bike, flipping her over and scraping her headgear across the ground while the band can be seen mouthing some (rather dirty!) words. This is why, as I go through all my favorite indie, well-written, musically brilliant and polished tracks, I'll have to consider "I'm Not Okay" by My Chemical Romance, "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne, and piles of other.
In other words, fuck Musicality sometimes, I want to fucking here a guy say he wants to fuck his bros Mom.
