I've been listening to Uproot a lot recently and been consistently enjoying it. The part where he takes it from that "I gave you all my love but you were playin' games" tune to that string interlude into the Ekkehard Ehlers piece is probably the best part of the record in my mind. I don't see this guy discussed on here, though he's a brilliant musical mastermind, and probably one of the best music writers of today. Any love for DJ/rupture, slash, recommendations of albums besides Uproot (it's the only one I've got, yo.)?
