Let me begin by saying that my intention with this thread is not to tell you what to think but simply to share my own personal preference. I've spent some time thinking and listening over the past while and have decided that for myself the best band of the decade award goes to the Super Furry Animals. Here is my reasoning:

- No other band I listen to has released 6 solid albums over the past ten years. Just take a look at this impressive discography:
2000: Mwng; 2001: Rings Around the World; 2003: Phantom Power; 2005: Love Kraft; 2007: Hey Venus! and 2009: Dark Days/Light Years.
- SFA consistently put on great live shows. Last year I saw them here in Toronto Canada and needless to say I cannot wait to watch them perform again.

I had a few other bands in mind but settled on the Furries just a few minutes ago after finishing a binge listen of their fine work this decade.

Thoughts? Please, share your own favorites, I'm always on the look out for new music.
