Having watched t'Monkeys at Wembley Arena last night - who were great, best I've ever seen them, enjoying themselves plus the crowd was loving the Humbug material, so the atmosphere was strong - it struck me that FWN still stands up as a brilliant album. Something they do gets me right where I live, and they have a smattering of absolutely genius songs in amongst a small bit of filler but on balance their second is potentially better than the debut. It makes me a bit sad to think that it may well get omitted from end of decade lists, possibly in lieu of Whatever..., because it shouldn't be sidelined.
