GAS at the Barbican last night
I'm very glad I went but I'm still unsure how to process the experience. Sitting there for an hour and a half provides a lot of insular thinking time. Then there was the conflict between that insularity and the whole communal feeling of having gathered there to watch the show. And the music I think could be described as both immersive and inaccessible/uncompromising.
Also at times I was thinking, perhaps this would make more sense on drugs, but by the massively sinister close, I was glad I hadn't taken anything. The friend I went with said that a lot of the time, she was just wondering what everyone else was thinking of it all.
So... what did you think?
