Hiya, I run Glasgow club night Pin Up Nights ( www.pinup-nights.co.uk ) and in 2009 we've brought up to Glasgow, from England, The Kabeedies, Lost Knives, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Micachu and the Shapes and The Invisible. All super bands and it was great to see them perform. Bringing bands up from England is something we'd like to do mor eof.

I had my eye on Manchester band Delphic around March but we couldn't get the dates to work out right, and I see they're now coming to Glasgow next week to do Death Disco - it's a "Eastpak vs Ed Banger Records + Mixmag presents" thing so I don't know if Death Disco actually had any input in choosing them. But in any case Delphic are pretty good I think.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations of bands which they'd like to see perform in Glasgow? I have my eye/ear on Egyptian Hip Hop but I'm a bit worried that's my own Happy Mondays obsession at work and people in Glasgow won't get them...

I'd be happy to listen to any tips.
