This is a little bee in my bonnet at the moment as a few examples have been proudly displayed across the media by apparently knowledgeable types from oracle-esque sources.

Does anyone else have examples of music critics assessing an album/ band and making bizarre comparisons with others with whom it's blatantly obvious their is no similarity?
