Every Time I Die - New Junk Aethetic - really good, wasn't sure initially, enjoying it far more the second and third time. The album doesn't feel like it kicks in proper till about song 4. Needs more listens.

Frank Tuner - Poetry of the Deed - fuck all the haters that are always on here, its a good album. Not totally amazing, but a good solid, sing along folk-punk. Looking forward to seeing him later in the year.

Meshuggah - Obzen - only listened to it once, been meaning to pick up some Meshuggah for ages, liked it, will listen more (needing to listen more is a common thread here)

Reuben - We Should Have Gone to University - Brings back so many good memories of this band, bit hit and miss as usual for rarities collection but still so much fun.

Slayer - Seasons of the Abyss - only bought a few hours ago, not listened to yet, but its Slayer so it will own.

Alice In Chains - Facelift - see Slayer, above

Thrice - Beggars - the first Thrice album I've liked instantly, think it may be their best thing, surprisingly I think it will be one of my favourite albums of the year.

Brand New - Daisy - also one likely to be an album of the year, really loving it already, so good to see this band grow with each album.
