I didn't expect it to be very good truth be told after a 4 year gap. After all, most DJ's that try and do studio records either fail miserably or else cock up the follow up royally.

But this is genuinely pant-wettingly good at times. As you'd probably expect from an electro record, there are echoes of 'OK Cowboy' all over the structure of it - there are is an obvious single (like 'My friend Dario') and another pounding anthem (like 'La Rock 01') - but otherwise it's definitely a Vitalic record, yet somehow more grown up and ambitious. The mid-tempo and quieter stuff for example is immense.

I suspect it's going to screw up a few of those nearly-perfected end of year lists we've all been working on.
