Post-Punk band Artery reformed in 2007 at the request of Jarvis Cocker for his curated Meltdown Festival in 2007 commenting about his early experiences seeing the band “it was one of the most important concerts of my life… I’d never seen anything like it before; this wasn’t a concert – it was a ritual, a summoning of primal energies, a trip – all the things I’d hoped music could be. And then some.”

Artery are one of the great lost bands of the post-punk era. They were widely acknowledged to be Sheffield's answer to Joy Division.

Their 4 Albums between 1979 and 1985 defined the era and now they are back with a new EP 'Standing Still' and playing at the intimate surroundings of The Legion in London for club night Chamber on Sunday 20th September 2009.
