Doesn't really fit into 'music' strictly but whatever.

I've been asked to do some quick background visuals for a clubnight, except have not much idea of quality/ratio/whatever needed.

I presume it's just a standard gig/venue projector, so would it be OK to cobble some stuff together in a movie program (Final Cut/iMovie/etc) and burn it on DVD? Do projectors blow stuff up to look really shitty?
