At the beginning of the month, the mother of my dear friend, Rachael Jensen of Parenthetical Girls, was killed in a car accident, on her way home from the annual Jensen Family Reunion. Her father and two brothers were rushed to an intensive care facility, and are now in the early stages of their recovery. Tragically, family matron Kris Jensen, 51, passed away at the scene.

In the quest for small positives to be made out of this huge tragedy, the Kris Jensen Memorial Fund was organized to assist the surviving members of the Jensen family with the mounting financial strain of their medical care. My band played a benefit show, and there have been more shows throughout the US involving the likes of Built To Spill, YACHT and Au.

I know there are a fair few Parenthetical Girls fans on this web site, and so I thought I would draw your attention to this set of auctions which are currently going on on ebay, all the proceeds of which go to the Jensen family.
