A lot of bands take music very seriously. I'm talking earnest boys who dress like they talk and play music like they dress. I reckon the best bands take a light-hearted approach to music and inject a bit of humour into their songs i.e. Super Furry Animals, The Beatles, XTC, The Kinks, RFTC, Pavement, Weezer. They can be serious and silly i.e. show a broader spectrum of human emotions.
