KONG
Barbed and monstrous riffs can terrorise the unsuspecting audience when the masked trio of Kong take the stage. The Ghost of Steve Albini's Shellac haunts their grooves. The 'Blood of a Dove' and 'Leather Penny' singles have already given us a taster of what is a powerful tour de force of an album 'Snake Magnet' on Brew Records and released on July 13th. It's no wonder Andy Falkous (McLusky/Future of the Left) is a big fan.
BAD FOR LAZARUS
Formed by Rich Fownes, ex of Brighton dark-rockers 80's Matchbox B-Line Disaster, with Brighton rock'n'roll luminaries and friends to mesh their love of classic 50's rock'n'roll and Motown and the abrasive sounds of Fugazi's Dischord label. A concoction that is Hell-bound and with an authentic energy to match London's own Jim Jones Revue.
CHICKENHAWK
Labelmates of Kong and on tour together to promote Brew Records Releases. Initially a three piece, Chickenhawk enhanced their metal sound to twin guitars as featured on the new EP 'A or not?' - a follow up to the self titled debut album. From the neighbourhood that has already spawned Pulled Apart By Horses, That Fucking Tank and Bilgepump.
