ive been listening to the last peel session cay did all day. its so loud and catchy and angry and RAH, i think if the 2nd album had come out it would have been superdoublegood,(im trying not to say awesome)

and it got me thinking, there must be some pretty amazing albums OUT THERE that we'll never hear, either they only exist as demos and lists cos something went wrong before, or locked away cos something went wrong after.

i love totally love rock mythology, and i wish i knew more "great lost album" tales. i heard that idlewild's first attempt at album 3 got turned down by the label for being too noisy, i dunno if thats just fanboy wishful thinking tho.. so, far reaching demographic of music fans, plz tell some similar stories of great unfilled promise.

and as a side quest, did anyone ever track down anet mook? i think there was a thread a couple of years ago where someone said they saw her begging in camden somewhere. our label boss told us a pretty libeleous story about her smack habit in 1999ish, but someone else said she works as a waitress now. as much as you can fall in love with someone by reading 10 year old fanzine reviews and trying to work on what they're singing on songs they wrote with their boyfriend on evil life wrecking drugs, im in love. our next single robs 2 seconds of neurons like brandy and i need sort out some royalties, thats my opening line.

but mostly i want to read other peoples tales of AWESOME ALBUMS THAT NEVER GOT MADE and i just went off on one..
