(No one reads the festival board do they?)

Various venues in Cardiff. Thurs 22nd- Sat 24th Oct, 2009.

Yay! Swn’s back for its third year. For those unaware of the festival’s existence; it’s a city-wide affair in the style of SXSW and the Camden Crawl et all, across a bunch of venues in Cardiff. Bands playing tend to be a nice mix of touring, (good) local, and Welsh language acts.

It’s organised by BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, and pretty much every promoter in Cardiff pitches in. I’m not directly involved with the festival, but it’s been great the last few years so I like to give it a push :-)

Bands announced so far:

- will all be appearing at the Gate (lovely converted Church, went there last night for the first time and it’s really fab) on the Saturday. I think there’s more bands being added to this section, which is being curated by Los Camp.
