Afternoon all,

This is my first post to the site, although i've been visiting for AGES, so be nice. I know how vitriolic you guys can get.

As Regional Manager I will soon be getting started on organising the Bristol Oxjam Festival for 2009, to be based in October in tandom with events across the country, and wanted to ask the question...what Bristol bands should I check out with the aim of securing for the festival?

There are the obvious big name 'Bristol' bands/acts i.e. Portishead, Tricky etc, and the not so obvious but still awesome i.e. Fuck Buttons, Boca 45 etc so if anyone here has any extra insight into the Bristol music scene and can recommend something that would be awesome.
