Has anyone actually seen one of her sets in the flesh, as opposed to just hearing about it? Reason for the Q- it's a friend's birthday soon as he has picked sankeys in manchester as his venue of choice for the celebrations. She's playing that night. I hate that my instinct is so overwhelmingly 'urgh' and that it's such a kneejerk reaction. I'm not sexist, I appreciate most genres of music (and within dance, although I prefer minimal techno or dub, I can appreciate most things if well executed and cleverly judged).
I'd love to be proved wrong, but I'd hate to turn up on the night, be proved right, and want to cry.
