Anyone From Bradford?

I'm thinking about going to Bradford Univesity in 2010.
What is Bradford like?
I come from Brighton so i see a shitload of the up and coming bands. Do many bands play in Bradford?
Is there a decent local music scene? ie musicians etc.?
