Music and Economics
It seems to me that the relationship between economic highs and lows have been shown to influence the popularity of music fads throughout recent years. With punk accompanying the troubled economic times of the late 70's and then again in the early 90's we saw the rise of grunge. In the affluent 80's electro-pop music became popular and then again in the early-mid 00's. Do you think we're going to see a new wave of angry young men with guitars bothering the charts, or do you think that because of the new ways in which people listen to and acquire music that it isn't going to make a blind bit of difference?
