This Saturday - Zoey Van Goey album launch (Glasgow-gig-JAG-centric)
Apologies for a bit of JAGgage, but it seemed like the sort of thing that people here might be interested in.
This Saturday, 9th May, at Stereo, Glasgow, Zoey Van Goey (www.myspace.com/zoeyvangoey) are launching their new album The Cage Was Unlocked All Along (which got a pretty good review here: http://www.theskinny.co.uk/article/45720-zoey-van-goey-the-cage-was-unlocked-all-along)
They put on a great wee live show, very happy, and I myself have enjoyed it a lot the past couple of times I've seen them.
Also playing are The Second Hand Marching Band (www.myspace.com/thesecondhandmarchingband), a 20-odd piece folk-pop ensemble, who are pretty good, if I do say so myself. Although I shouldn't say so, as I'm a memeber. But still.
Completing the bill are Endor(www.myspace.com/endor), who play some good-sounding lively indiepop of the best sort.
So, in general, it should be a good night, and it'd be nice if you could come along, tickets are £5 advance from http://www.tickets-scotland.com/booking.html?c=viewevent&event_id=15369 , and £6 on the door. Starts at 7.30pm!
(the last.fm page for it is here: http://www.last.fm/event/942605)
Thanks!
