Astoundingly ahead of their time? Just listening to DI Go Pop and to be honest, if it were to be released tomorrow I don't think it would sound the slightest bit dated. It's just absolutely incredible and it's obviously been massively influential; you can hear aspects of Deerhunter, Panda Bear, No Age and a thousand other critically fellated bands, but it manages to retain both a very British atmosphere (I guess the vocals are a large part of that) and an incredibly distinct sound.
