...doesn't sound that great to me. Had it a few days now and played it (or at least tried to play it without getting bored) several times. I shouldn't be that surprised as I saw them live and didn't like them much and heard their first album, as was left cold by that. Still, I held out for this one as the first single was one of the best songs I've heard all year and I just wanted them to do a 'Horrors' and follow up their debut with something more interesting and radically different.

I want to get in on this early because I believe there will be quite a few who will like this album but I just can't get into their sound and the vocal delivery annoys me after a while. They haven't lived up to the wonderful post-punk promise of 'No Kind Words' and have settled into doing..well, not that, which is disappointing. 'Love You Better' is a good track, but not amazing.

I guess my verdict will be that if you liked them already this will be a great second album, and if you weren't fussed about them, I don't think they have done enough to change your mind.

But there you go. We'll see.
