I often have periods where i go back to Guided By Voices 'Sandbox' album and think it's my favourite. Anyone else have alot of love for this album? Seems at times Pollard was aiming for a kind of REM sound at the time but ended up playing garage rock instead. Songs like 'Long Distance Man' and 'The Drinking Jimm Crow' are absoloute crackers. 'Long Distance man' has to be his most obvious stab at a Beatles type song (Echos Myron as well).

Ace album. I dont think there's a GBV album i hate (Do the Collapse is bareable due to some ace songs like Dragons Awake).
