Hello all,

As some of you may know I am a bassist and proud. I figured there must be some others on here so let's get some bass chat going!

I have a couple of things to talk about:

1. My current bass (a Mexican Jazz) has a really muted sounding E string. I tried raising the saddle, but that didn't seem to help. Does anyone know what might be causing it, and should I just put a new string on?

2. I really want this bass: http://bit.ly/Icj3n. Has anyone ever played a Danelectro, or at least heard anything about how they play? I'm not sure I should get it, though, seeing as I already have two basses. On that note - does anybody want my old bass? It needs a bit of work but I'm happy to give it away to a good home.

So yeah, feel free to discuss favourites basses, bassists, basslines etc. here as well.
